After armed battles with Israeli troops in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian officials say that three Palestinian terrorists have been gunned down and killed by Israeli troops’ bullets.
The Israeli military has stated that its personnel fired back in order to “neutralise” the individuals inside a car that had fired shots at them.
As a response to a string of murderous assaults, Israel has been conducting raids nearly every day; the incident that took place in Jenin is the most significant of its sort to occur in recent weeks.
Two of the Palestinians who carried out recent murders were originally from the Jenin area.
Since the end of March, there have been shootings, stabbings, car-rammings, and an attack with an axe that have resulted in the deaths of seventeen Israelis and two Ukrainians in Israel and the West Bank.
Since then, Israeli forces have engaged in a number of clashes with Palestinians, which have resulted in the deaths of dozens of Palestinians, including the attackers.
According to statements made by eyewitnesses, the Israeli army conducted a search operation in the ancient town of Jenin on Friday morning. At the same time, they reportedly engaged in heavy gunfire exchanges with Palestinian terrorists who were in the area.
According to statements made by the Israeli military, gunfire was heard coming from a vehicle parked on the side of the road as troops moved forward from a previous location. Everyone who was in the car perished in the accident.
According to information from the area, all three of the men in question belonged to terrorist groups in Jenin.
Hamas, a radical Islamist organisation, stated that one of the men was a field commander in the organization’s armed wing. It issued a stern warning, stating that the “cowardly assassination… will not go unpunished.”
According to reports from the Israeli military, soldiers searched the vehicle and discovered two rifles, a submachine gun, and ammo.
As pe the official Palestinian news agency, Wafa, in the aftermath of the incident, “fierce fights” broke out, resulting in the injuries of ten Palestinian people. Israel says its forces did not suffer any losses.
