JERUSALEM – The 14th International Jerusalem “Winner” Marathon has officially launched its dedicated running shoe for the 2025 edition: the RIDE 18 model by SAUCONY.
The shoe, featuring the inscription “Jerusalem Marathon,” marks the third consecutive year of collaboration between the Jerusalem Municipality and the global sports brand.
This follows a growing trend among major marathons worldwide, which introduce specialized footwear to commemorate their events.
This year’s launch was spearheaded by two inspiring figures who embody the marathon’s spirit of perseverance and resilience:
- Orr Sheizaf, a seasoned marathon runner and IDF reservist who sustained injuries during combat in Gaza. Having completed his rehabilitation, Sheizaf will take on the 5 km race – his first competition since his recovery.
- Netanel Sinai, a soldier diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after serving in Gaza. Sinai discovered that running played a crucial role in his mental recovery and will participate in the 10 km race.
With the marathon set for April 4, 2025, organizers anticipate a record-breaking 35,000 runners to take part, with tens of thousands of spectators expected to line the streets of Jerusalem.
