Gush Etzion, West Bank — The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported late Friday night that they had neutralized two Palestinian terrorists in the Gush Etzion area of the West Bank, following two separate yet possibly linked attacks involving car bombs and a vehicular assault.

The first incident occurred at a gas station near the Gush Etzion junction. According to IDF sources, a car packed with explosives detonated at the site, causing significant damage.

Troops dispatched to the scene encountered a terrorist who had arrived in the vehicle and attempted to launch a further attack. The soldiers responded by opening fire, killing the attacker.

During the incident, two men were injured by gunfire, with medics reporting that their wounds were likely the result of friendly fire as the troops engaged the alleged terrorist. The injuries were described as moderate and light.

The second attack took place shortly afterward when a Palestinian individual drove a vehicle through the entrance of the nearby settlement of Karmei Tzur.

IDF forces stationed at the settlement opened fire on the assailant. In an act of rapid response, a local security team member, driving his own car, collided with the attacker, killing him on the spot. The security guard sustained light injuries from the crash.

The IDF is investigating the possibility that the two attacks were coordinated, given their timing and proximity.

Both incidents are being treated as part of a broader threat by Palestinian terrorists in the region. The response by IDF troops and local security forces has been commended for preventing further casualties.

These attacks are part of a recent surge in violence in the West Bank, where tensions remain high amid ongoing conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants.

The IDF continues to enhance its security measures and maintain a heightened alert status in response to the increased threat level.

The Israeli government has expressed strong condemnation of the attacks and reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of its citizens and troops.

Authorities are calling for a thorough investigation to ascertain the full extent of the coordination between the attackers and prevent future incidents.

As the situation in the region remains volatile, the IDF and local security forces are expected to continue their operations to secure the area and address any emerging threats.
