Kfar Saba, Israel — A man was pronounced dead after a car exploded early Saturday morning on Alexandroni Street in Kfar Saba, according to the Magen David Adom (MDA).

The incident, which occurred at around 4:45 a.m., prompted a swift response from emergency services and has left authorities investigating the cause of the explosion.

MDA paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the initial reports and found the man lying on the ground with severe burns on his body. Efforts to save him were unsuccessful.

“The man was lying on the floor, unconscious, with burns on his body,” said paramedic Abed al-Rahim Bishara. “We performed medical tests, but unfortunately, his wounds were too significant and we were forced to pronounce him dead.”

The Israel Fire and Rescue Authority dispatched personnel from the Sharon station to extinguish the fire caused by the explosion. Firefighters managed to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby areas.

Unclear Cause of Explosion
The circumstances surrounding the explosion remain unclear. An official from the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority, Mor Shishatsky, confirmed that no remains of explosives were found at the scene, suggesting that the cause of the blast may not have been related to an explosive device.

“Firefighters are working to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading,” Shishatsky said. “During the firefighting operations, a human body was identified near the vehicle.”

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion and the identity of the victim. Local police are working alongside fire investigators to examine potential mechanical faults or other explanations for the incident.

Recent Car Explosions in Israel
The incident in Kfar Saba is the latest in a series of recent car explosions across Israel. Late last month, a similar incident on Highway 34 between Yad Mordechai and Sderot resulted in one death. In that case, medical personnel only discovered that a person was killed after firefighters extinguished the flames.

Additionally, in September, a car bomb in Ramle claimed the lives of four people and left eight others wounded. Authorities later revealed that the explosion was linked to a conflict between two crime syndicates.

While the cause of the Kfar Saba explosion has yet to be determined, the recent string of car explosions has raised concerns about public safety and potential connections to organized crime. Law enforcement agencies are reportedly increasing surveillance and investigative efforts to address these incidents.

Residents on Edge
Local residents expressed shock and concern following the explosion. “We heard a loud bang and saw smoke rising. It was terrifying,” said a resident of Alexandroni Street, who requested anonymity. “We are worried about what’s happening in our city.”

The Israel Fire and Rescue Authority has urged the public to remain calm while investigations continue. Authorities have also appealed to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

As investigators work to uncover the cause of the explosion, the incident has underscored growing security concerns in the region. More updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
