Additionally, Eran Riklis’s “Reading Lolita in Tehran” will be shown. The adaptation of an Iranian literature professor’s memoir stars Golshifteh Farahani and Zar Amir Ebrahimi, delving into themes of resistance and female empowerment in Iran.

A Tribute to Ze’ev Revach

This year’s Israeli Cinema Day is dedicated to the late actor and director Ze’ev Revach, who passed away in January at 85. A revered figure in Israeli cinema, Revach won three Ophir Awards, including two for Best Actor and one for Lifetime Achievement.

Culture and Sport Minister Miki Zohar praised him as “one of the greatest actors who grew up in Israel,” adding that “Revach gave us unforgettable moments, laughter, and tears, and his legacy will continue to live on in Israeli culture.”
