Tel Aviv, Israel – A well-known personal trainer from Tel Aviv was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of drugging and raping a client, a woman in her 20s, in a case that remains largely under a gag order.

According to reports from Channel 12 news, the investigation began after the alleged victim filed a complaint with the Israel Police over the weekend. Due to legal restrictions, the identity of the trainer and specific details of the case have not been disclosed to the public.

The alleged incident reportedly occurred after the woman spent time socially with the trainer and another individual. Her friends later discovered her in her home in a disoriented state, with only vague recollections of the evening.

She was taken to the hospital, where medical examinations confirmed that she had recently engaged in sexual intercourse, though she had no memory of it.

This raised suspicions that she may have been drugged, possibly with a date-rape drug, an angle that police are currently investigating.

The other individual who was present during the incident is also under investigation, according to the Ynet news outlet.

In the days following the alleged assault, the woman attempted to confront the personal trainer about what had occurred. However, after failing to receive satisfactory answers, she decided to formally file a complaint at the Tel Aviv North police station.

Following his arrest on Saturday, police conducted a search of the suspect’s home and confiscated his phone and computer.

Authorities initially sought to extend his detention for seven days, but a closed-door court hearing granted an extension of only four days. Future hearings regarding further extensions will be held at the Tel Aviv District Court, also behind closed doors.

The suspect, a man in his 30s, is a widely recognized personal trainer with a substantial social media following and a clientele that includes several celebrities. Channel 12 also reported that a former Israeli prime minister had previously been among his clients, though no further details were provided.

Attorney Nir Plesser, who is representing the trainer, stated after the court hearing that his client had “fully cooperated” with investigators and “completely denied” the allegations.

A relative of the trainer, speaking to Channel 12, insisted that the accusations were false and that the alleged victim had voluntarily sought training sessions with him.

“He tried to assist the girl, to help her,” the relative said. “He did not have any sexual relations with her.”

The case has drawn significant public attention, though strict media restrictions have prevented further details from being published. Authorities have yet to confirm whether any substances were found in the alleged victim’s system, and the investigation remains ongoing.

As police continue to probe the case, the suspect’s legal team is preparing to challenge any further extensions of his detention. Meanwhile, advocacy groups have called for a thorough and transparent investigation to ensure justice for all parties involved.
