Holon, Israel – March 28, 2025 – A man in his 30s was killed, and three others were injured in a tragic accident near the Holon Interchange in the early hours of Friday, Israel’s emergency response service, Magen David Adom (MDA), reported.
The fatal incident occurred on Route 4 after a collision involving two private vehicles left three people moderately injured. According to eyewitnesses, the victim and another pedestrian had attempted to assist those involved in the initial crash when they were struck by a passing vehicle.
MDA paramedics who arrived at the scene found both pedestrians unconscious with severe injuries. Despite efforts to save them, one of the men, in his 30s, showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second pedestrian was seriously injured and required urgent medical attention.
Emergency Response and Eyewitness Accounts
MDA paramedics Dov Shahor and Nissim Sharvit, who responded to the accident, described the harrowing scene they encountered.
“We saw two pedestrians lying unconscious by the roadside near the scene of a car accident involving two private vehicles. Bystanders at the scene said that during the accident, the pedestrians approached to help the injured and were struck by a passing vehicle,” Shahor recounted.
“They sustained very severe injuries, and one of them had no pulse and was not breathing. We performed medical examinations, but unfortunately, his injuries were critical, and we were forced to pronounce him dead,” he added.
The injured victims, including the seriously wounded pedestrian and two individuals from the initial crash, were transported to Shamir Medical Center for further treatment.
