The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Tuesday that two terrorists were killed after crossing the Yellow Line and advancing toward Israeli troops operating in the southern Gaza Strip. According to the military, the operatives posed an immediate danger to soldiers in the field.

The IDF described the action as necessary to “remove the threat,” noting that troops were engaged in ongoing operations when the armed individuals approached their positions.
No Israeli casualties were reported.

Tuesday’s incident follows a string of similar encounters reported on Monday.
In one such case, a terrorist was observed planting “suspicious objects in the ground” close to IDF forces operating near the Yellow Line.

The IDF said the suspect was subsequently struck by troops, prompting the remaining terrorists to flee westward, away from the border area. The military did not specify what the suspicious objects were but noted the proximity to soldiers made immediate action essential.

In another incident on Monday, a terrorist attempted to close in on IDF positions near the same sector. The military stated the operative “posed an immediate threat” and was neutralized before reaching the troops.

The Yellow Line—an operational boundary used by the IDF to mark secure zones—has become a focal point of repeated infiltration attempts in recent weeks. Officials say these incidents highlight ongoing attempts by armed groups to disrupt Israeli military activities in the area.

The IDF emphasized that forces remain on high alert due to the unpredictable nature of such crossings. Soldiers stationed along the southern Gaza border continue to monitor suspicious movements amid concerns that operatives may attempt to plant explosives or launch sudden attacks.

Military sources say the pattern of incidents underscores the complex environment in which Israeli troops are operating. With armed militants frequently testing the boundaries, the IDF has stressed the importance of rapid response to prevent potential casualties.

As operations continue, the military has reiterated that any individual crossing the Yellow Line without authorization will be treated as a threat. The IDF is expected to maintain heightened vigilance in the coming days as tensions remain elevated in the region.
